Al-Ameen centers promote awareness and health education campaigns.
Al-Ameen Organization for Humanitarian Support is committed to promoting awareness and health education through community health teams deployed in all its medical centers in northern Syria. Zardana Health Center located in Idlib is one of these centers, where an awareness session was organized by the community health team about infectious diseases, Leishmania and lice were highlighted as important infectious diseases during the awareness session, and the causes of these diseases were explained in detail, direct contact with infected people are the main reasons for the transmission of leishmaniasis and lice. The community health team also talked about other methods of transmission of such infectious diseases, leishmaniasis is usually transmitted through the bites of infected sand flies, while transmission of lice may occur through contact with objects contaminated with louse eggs or the louse itself. The team also focused on methods of prevention, as the importance of personal hygiene and regular hand washing, the attendees were encouraged to visit centers Local health services to obtain the necessary treatment and receive guidance and advice from the specialized community health team.
