Alameen Organization: A Year of Work… and Every Number Tells a Story of Achievement
Under the slogan “Support for Humanity” , the International Wars and Disasters Victims Protection Association – Alameen (IRVD) continued its mission of providing healthcare to communities in need, affirming that every service delivered is a link in a long chain of dedicated work toward better health and a more dignified life.
Health Facilities: Bringing Care Closer to People
This year, the organization inaugurated 5 new or newly launched health centers and facilities, bringing services closer to beneficiaries across different areas. It also continued supporting and operating health services in 80 health facilities, in an ongoing effort to ensure continuity of care for the communities that depend on it.
Staff and Services: A Team Behind Every Service
Behind every health service lies a team working to keep access to care possible. This year, the organization delivered 920 health services, supported by a workforce of 956 staff members across its various facilities and programs.
Kidney Patient Care: Continuing Treatment Means Continuing Life
Guided by the conviction that “continuing treatment means continuing life,” the organization provided at least 42 dialysis machines, distributed between the Maarat al-Numan and Jisr al-Shughur centers, to ensure uninterrupted treatment for kidney failure patients.
Medical and Surgical Campaigns: Responding to Diverse Needs
The organization carried out specialized medical and surgical campaigns that responded to varying needs across different communities, covering specialties including pediatric and orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), cardiac surgery, and urology — part of its effort to provide comprehensive health services that are often difficult to access under normal circumstances.
Cochlear Implant Program: Hearing as an Opportunity to Connect
The organization’s cochlear implant and hearing rehabilitation program targets 1,000 children, based on the belief that “hearing is not just a sense… it is an opportunity for communication, learning, and integration.” This program stands as one of the organization’s most significant initiatives, touching the future of children and their ability to integrate into their communities.
Construction and Rehabilitation Projects: Work Doesn’t Stop at Service Delivery
Driven by the vision that “work does not stop at providing services… it extends to building what communities need,” the organization carried out several construction and rehabilitation projects, most notably:
- The Al-Qusayr project, which included building a health center, a mosque, commercial shops, and a water well.
- The rehabilitation of an elderly care home.
- The construction of two new schools.
Through these achievements, the Alameen Humanitarian Organization reaffirms its ongoing commitment to its slogan “Together for Better Health,” and its continued pursuit of “healthier communities and a better life,” through integrated fieldwork that combines direct health services with investment in infrastructure and the future.
