Nutrition is a critical part of health and development. Better nutrition is related to improved infant, child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, safer pregnancy and childbirth, lower risk of non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease), and longevity.
We are actively working to:
Provide first aid training to individuals in areas, in order to increase success of first response
Increase focus on nutrition and implement treatments to overcome nutritional deficiency
Assess level of malnutrition in hard-to-reach areas and treat moderate to severe cases with supplements
Raise community awareness about communicable disease
Raise awareness to prevent and treat malnutrition cases and refer non-malnutrition cases
Distribute food supplements and specific malnutrition-based treatment
Support IYCF centers specific for breastfeeding
We strive to build a world in which people at all times have access to safe and sufficient food that meets their nutritional needs and food preferences for a healthy and active life.
