وآخيراً ...قاسم يقتل هاجس الخوف والانكسار
Health, Update

Finally… Qasim overcomes fear and despair.

“Qasim Rizk”, a 9 years old child, from Shabwa governorate, suffers from a congenital deformity since birth, which prevented him from moving and walking like other children, and deprived him of most of his rights, the most important of which is playing with his friends.
His older brother, Muhammad, who came to Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Aden, tells us: When we see Qasim cannot move like the rest and cannot play, we grieve for his condition and fear that this will affect his mental health. He only wishes to live his childhood like the rest of the children around him. We were told about the prosthetics center in Aden, before we knew about the existence of another center in Marib that provides the same services, through the Prosthetics Center in Aden. After they took all the data of my brother Qasim, they directed us to the Prosthetics Center in Marib.
Indeed, we were received and welcomed in Marib governorate Center, and they registered Qasim and took the appropriate measurement for him. We did not take into account that, after only a week, they will call us and tell that the prosthetic limb was ready for delivery, so we went back to take the limb and began training on the limb under the supervision of the specialized technician. Qasim was super happy he would not share his joy, and after training and confirming that the prosthesis fits him, we left the center after the technician made sure that Qasim could walk without any problems.
Alhamdullilah, Qasim started to move normally, and he can now go out and play with his friends, and the anxiety and sadness fed away from, he is not scared anymore, nor we are as we were before, previously we could not leave him alone, and if he went out, one of us must be with him. Now, by the grace of God, his movement became smooth without any problems, and all thanks to God then King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid and the efforts of the technicians working in the center.
