Cochlear implant, Health, Update

Al-Ameen International Organization continues implementing cochlear implant programs as part of the “Hear Saudi” initiative.

As part of the “Samaa Saudi” program, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, the Al-Ameen International Organization continues to implement cochlear implantation programs. The evaluation phase is a crucial step to ensure the success of surgeries and achieve the desired outcomes. With the start of the new phase in Tunisia, we focus on conducting comprehensive and precise assessments for children with hearing impairments.

The evaluation process includes measuring the degree and extent of hearing loss through specialized audiological tests, as well as assessing the child’s overall health status to ensure they can withstand the surgery. It also involves reviewing the beneficiary’s medical certificate, analyzing the neurological function, and confirming the absence of any health conditions that could prevent the procedure or affect its results.

Additionally, examinations are performed on the ear and spinal cord, ensuring health stability, and evaluating the child’s ability to adhere to post-surgical rehabilitation programs, along with family awareness of future stages. All these steps are carried out according to the highest international medical standards to select the most suitable cases and maximize the benefits of modern cochlear implant technology.

We believe that the success of the program fundamentally depends on a comprehensive and precise evaluation, ensuring every child gets an effective opportunity to regain hearing and start a new life full of opportunities and potential.
