The Ophthalmology Campaign in Deir ez-Zor.. A Path to the Light

On its second day, the ophthalmology campaign organized by Al-Ameen Humanitarian Support in the city of Deir ez-Zor continues to reach every patient who has struggled to access care, and every eye that deserves to see the world clearly.

Through the corridors of the National Hospital in Deir ez-Zor, patients arrive from across the region, welcomed by specialized medical teams ready to conduct the necessary examinations and perform surgical interventions for those in need. This is not simply a medical campaign — it is a message that no one is left behind.

The campaign continues until the 7th of May, embodying Al-Ameen’s founding principle: that healthcare is not a privilege for the few, but a right for every person. A single step toward treatment can mean the return of light to a patient’s eyes, and the reopening of a horizon once lost.
