Aleppo Rural Health Network Project – Phase Five
Health care is vital and essential for any society, especially in conflict-affected areas that suffer from fragility in their health systems, particularly north-western Syria.
Therefore, Aleppo Rural Health Network project comes in its fifth phase to contribute in strengthening health infrastructure and filling health gaps for more than 40 health facilities in the region. The project works to provide trainings that were implemented in the previous stages of the project’s life, in addition to financial and logistical support, and technical support to enhance health capabilities and improve the quality of services provided.
Trainings and Capacity Building:
Developing the capabilities of health cadres is one of the most important objectives of the Rural Aleppo Health Network project, which has already been completed. Various specialized trainings have been organized and provided for health teams working within the health facilities covered by the project. These trainings include practical improvements and specialized training courses targeting local health cadres, including community health teams, midwives, and pharmacists. These trainings cover a wide range of healthcare-related topics, such as clinical diagnosis, early cancer discovery and its importance, primary care, medication management, nutrition, and health awareness. Such trainings contribute to enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of health cadres, which leads to improve the quality of care provided in health facilities.
What is the work of field team of Aleppo Rural Health Network project?
The field team working within the Rural Aleppo Health Network project is an essential part to ensure the project’s workflow. The field team aims to provide technical support and ensure correct and effective implementation of health plans and standards in participating health facilities. One of the most important aspects of the field team’s role is to evaluate the workflow mechanism within the participating health facilities, this is done after verifying compliance with the trainings and applying the new acquired practices, as well as verifying the application of health principles, proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment in health facilities, and rationalizing the use of antibiotics in the centers. This work helps to identify gaps, improve work mechanisms, and increase the efficiency of health services provided.
The team provides technical support to health facilities by directing them and providing the necessary guidance. This support includes applying best practices and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The field team provides professional advice and technical guidance to health cadres in health facilities to ensure that health care is provided promptly as high as possible.
