“Al-Ameen Organization Participates in the Prosthetics and Physical Rehabilitation Forum in Khartoum”
Under the slogan “An Effective Partnership Towards a Better Future for the Prosthetics Industry,” and under the patronage of Sudan’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Al-Ameen Humanitarian Organization participated alongside leading government bodies and national and international organizations in the Prosthetics and Physical Rehabilitation Forum held in Khartoum.
The forum comes amid a growing number of amputees resulting from the war and complications of diabetes, alongside a significant gap in prosthetics and rehabilitation services in terms of availability, quality, and geographic distribution. The forum discussed ways to unify efforts and build a joint coordination platform, strengthen partnerships between the government and national and international organizations, develop specialized education and training, support local manufacturing, benefit from Sudanese resources and expertise, and identify needs and gaps to set clear priorities for the sector.
Al-Ameen also took part in workshops on drafting recommendations and shaping policy, presenting its vision and expertise in the field of prosthetics and rehabilitation, alongside a review of its key activities and programs in Sudan.
Al-Ameen Humanitarian’s representative, Mr. Abdulsalam Al-Ameen, emphasized the importance of joining forces and building sustainable partnerships to ensure prosthetics and rehabilitation services reach the greatest possible number of beneficiaries, and to strengthen their ability to regain their independence and reintegrate into society.
