Al-Ameen operates 48 water purification stations for dialysis across various regions to ensure safe treatment sessions

Water purification plants are a cornerstone of dialysis centers; a treatment session cannot take place without the use of highly purified water. Consequently, every center requires a specialized, efficient, and reliable treatment system to ensure that patients receive safe care in accordance with the highest safety standards.

Why is highly purified water essential for dialysis?

Patients with renal failure rely on regular dialysis sessions to sustain their lives, and each session requires a significant volume of treated water—approximately 120 liters of highly purified water per session. Because this water comes into direct contact with the treatment process, its quality is critical to patient safety and the success of the procedure. Through specialized treatment systems, purification plants ensure water quality and the uninterrupted delivery of dialysis sessions.

Water Purification Project in Syria

This project in Syria is made possible through the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Health. It aims to equip dialysis centers with purification plants that provide the water necessary for treatment sessions, thereby ensuring the continuity of healthcare services for patients with kidney disease.

48 Purification Plants Across Various Regions

The Al-Ameen Organization operates 48 purification plants across several different regions. This extensive reach means that a large number of patients in various areas benefit from these services, enabling centers to continue admitting patients and providing dialysis sessions with high-quality water that meets rigorous safety standards. Supporting the Health Sector in Syria

This project highlights the importance of collaboration between humanitarian actors and healthcare institutions in Syria. Providing clean water to dialysis centers is a vital step toward protecting kidney patients and easing the burdens on both the patients and the treatment facilities. The Al-Ameen organization continues its work to support health services in Syria, driven by the conviction that access to safe medical treatment is the right of every patient.
