Three new health projects have been inaugurated, enhancing medical care services in the town of Al-Qaryatayn in the Homs countryside
Three new health projects have been launched to enhance medical services in the town of Qaryatayn in the southeastern Homs countryside. These projects include the construction and equipping of the town’s health center, the establishment of a dialysis unit at Qaryatayn Hospital, and the equipping of the obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics department.These projects were inaugurated on Thursday, March 12, 2026, under the patronage and in the presence of the Syrian Minister of Health, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, and the Governor of Homs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-A’ma, with the participation of the Homs Health Director and a number of local dignitaries.The projects include:• The construction and equipping of the health center in Qaryatayn, aimed at reactivating primary healthcare services for the town’s residents and those in surrounding areas.• Equipping the dialysis unit at Qaryatayn Hospital with four dialysis machines and all necessary medical equipment.• Equipping the obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics department at Qaryatayn Hospital, including the establishment of a specialized operating room and the provision of necessary medical equipment to enhance maternal and child health services in the region. These projects contribute to improving access to healthcare, easing the burden on patients, and enhancing the health sector’s ability to meet the needs of the population in the town and surrounding areas.
