A delegation from the World Health Organization visited the Maarat al-Numan Health Center to restart the center
As part of efforts to enhance the primary healthcare environment in southern rural Idlib, and with support from the World Health Organization (WHO) and coordination with the International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims – Al-Ameen, a delegation from WHO visited the Maarrat al-Numan Health Center to review the ongoing renovation and maintenance work, and to set a timeline for completion with the aim of reopening the center as soon as possible.
Maintenance work is progressing rapidly, with the goal of handing over the center at the earliest opportunity, allowing the resumption of health and medical services for residents in the area. This comes as part of a comprehensive plan to improve the quality of healthcare services and meet the needs of returning residents from displacement areas.
During the visit, a shipment of medicines and medical supplies provided by WHO was also received, in support of the health response and to ensure the availability of essential medications for patients at the center.
These efforts reflect the commitment of partner organizations to improving the healthcare situation in the region and delivering effective and comprehensive medical services, thereby strengthening the resilience of local communities and restoring hope for a more stable and quality life for the residents of southern rural Idlib.
