Kidney Dialysis Center in the city of Al-Ghaydah in Al-Mahra – Yemen
Patients with kidney failure require exceptional care within specialized kidney dialysis centers to cleanse their bodies and keep them painless. That’s why the Kidney Dialysis Center in the city of “Al-Ghaydah” in Al-Mahra – Yemen has become a destination for hundreds of kidney failure patients and various kidney diseases. They seek relief from their pains and, at the same time, liberation from the financial burdens imposed by private hospital dialysis centers.
Since waiting one more day can cost someone their life and due to continuous need for specialized care to keep the patients alive, despite the significant challenges faced by patients, including the inaccessibility of dialysis centers, the distance, and the financial costs incurred there. The International Association for War and Disaster Victims – Al-Ameen ( IRVD ), with generous support from the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSRelief), seeks to provide permanent and essential solutions to these challenges. As an example of these difficult challenges, we have the story of “Khamees Ali Saeed.” Khamees traveled to India for a catheterization procedure and returned to his homeland in the “Al-Mahra” , facing difficulties in completing his treatment due to the scarcity of hospitals and specialized centers. The old dialysis center was unable to accommodate more patients, prompting the Saudi Reconstruction Program to establish a new building dedicated to kidney failure patients, funded by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid. Since its opening, Khamees has become one of the beneficiaries of this center, which now allows him to undergo dialysis three times a week in a designated room for those infected with hepatitis. His condition has gradually improved with continuous treatment and medical examinations.
