Al-Ameen Humanitarian Support is intensifying its activities and events related to the World Breastfeeding Week, by organizing group and individual awareness sessions in all its active centers and facilities in northern Syria, especially in Al-Bab Health Center in Al-Bab City, where the community health team worked to provide a group awareness session for the reviewing women in the center. The team talked about breastfeeding and that it is the natural way to provide essential and balanced nutrients for the growth of the infant through breast milk. The team recommended the need to start breastfeeding the child during the first hours of his birth; In order to acquire colostrum milk, which is rich in nutrients and antibodies that provide the child with acquired immunity, breastfeeding must be based mainly on the first six months of the child’s life, and supplement it with foods suitable for his age until he reaches two years.
