Rehabilitation Makes a Difference: How Alameen Restores Hope for War and Disaster Victims

Medical rehabilitation services are among the most important support systems helping the injured and people with disabilities regain their ability to live with greater independence. This is the mission Alameen carries out through a network of specialized centers offering comprehensive care that combines physical therapy, prosthetic limbs, and speech and hearing rehabilitation.

The organization currently operates 16 rehabilitation centers, serving as key hubs for delivering these services in areas where the need is greatest. These centers manufacture and distribute around 450 prosthetic limbs every month, giving injured individuals a real chance to regain mobility and independence in their daily lives.

Alongside prosthetic limbs, Alameen oversees the delivery of more than 9,300 physical therapy sessions, aimed at strengthening muscles, improving mobility, and reducing complications resulting from injuries. The organization also provides 3,000 speech and hearing rehabilitation sessions, a service that is especially essential for children whose language and hearing abilities have been affected by war or injury.

These services are built on a single guiding principle, captured in the campaign’s slogan: “Toward a life of greater independence and hope.” Rehabilitation is not limited to the physical dimension alone; it extends to restoring self-confidence and the ability to reintegrate into society.

These numbers confirm that rehabilitation is not merely an additional medical service, but a genuine investment in the future of affected individuals and communities, and an essential step toward a more dignified and stable life for anyone who has lost part of their physical or sensory abilities due to war or disaster.
