Prosthetics Center in Marib
Prosthetics are considered one of the best solutions that help many people to continue their lives almost naturally without the need for the help of others, since the “International wars and disasters victims protection association – Al-Ameen” is keen to rehabilitate war victims and people with disabilities to integrate into society and contribute in building it, Al-ameen perform this through its medical centers distributed in a number of countries receiving thousands of war-wounded and people with special needs.
Prosthetics center in Marib is considered one of the most important health facilities, as it receives hundreds of beneficiaries and auditors every month to provide them with various free medical services, such as physical therapy and motor rehabilitation for those with amputations, spinal cord injuries, or various neurological injuries.
During the month of April, the center received 216 beneficiaries, where 728 free services were provided to them. The number of beneficiaries from Prosthetics Department reached 60 beneficiaries from the services of the Limbs Department and the Technical Rehabilitation Department, while 156 beneficiaries in Physiotherapy Department received physical therapy services, physical rehabilitation and specialized consultations.
It should be noted that Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Marib is one of four centers for artificial limbs in Yemen that provide rehabilitation services for amputees and people with motor disabilities free of charge, with the support and funding of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian support and the implementation of the International Wars and Disasters Victims’ Protection Association.
