Kulayb Mohammad — A Step Toward Life
Kulayb Mohammad was born in 2018 carrying a burden he never chose — cerebral atrophy that robbed him from his very first breath of what other children take for granted: the ability to move freely. In a country fractured by war and displacement, his family bore two burdens at once: the burden of survival, and the burden of caring for a son whose needs never paused.
His childhood was unlike that of other children. Every simple movement — a step, a raised hand, an upright posture — was a silent daily battle he fought with a determination far beyond his years.
Then came the day he arrived at the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center of the King Salman Center in Ma’rib, and hope began to take shape once again. There, in the hands of specialists working with patience and compassion, his physical therapy journey began — not cold clinical sessions, but steps along the road to reclaiming himself; one step at a time, one day at a time, toward better movement and the independence he deserves.
And in those moments when Kulayb smiles brightly at his therapist, one sees not merely a child recovering — but a human will that refuses to surrender, and a hope blooming in the hardest of times.
