Daoud is back in life… one step in the right direction
Daoud Abdo Qassem Daoud Al-Rimi, a young man from Rima Governorate, silently bore his burdens and forged his own path. He didn’t ask for much from life: a roof over his head, a job to support him, and dignity to protect him. He worked diligently in a building materials shop, self-reliant in everything, building his future brick by brick.
But life doesn’t always go as planned.
In a single, unexpected moment, everything changed. A tragic accident shattered everything he had built, leaving Daoud with a wound that time would not easily heal—he lost his left leg below the knee.
Life seemed to stop that day at that agonizing moment. Between the physical pain and the weight of the shock, Daoud found himself alone, facing a reality he hadn’t chosen, haunted by one question: Was it all over?
But Daoud wasn’t one to give up.
He refused to let that moment be his end, clinging to a thread of hope even when it was about to snap. In his darkest moments, he found a helping hand—the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which, through its prosthetic limb center, provided him with a complete prosthetic limb, restoring what he thought he had lost forever: the ability to walk, self-confidence, and the will to move forward.
Today, Daoud walks with steady steps. He has returned to his work, is reclaiming his life, and carries in his eyes a sparkle that even the most difficult moments could not extinguish.
Daoud’s story is not just a story of physical recovery—it is a testament to the fact that a person is capable of rising from their deepest wounds when they find genuine support and when they believe that tomorrow is worth living for.
