Alameen Organization has begun preparations to launch a scabies eradication campaign in hard-to-reach camps in Afrin and some areas of Idlib. The campaign aims to eliminate this contagious disease by reaching all existing cases and ensuring that the necessary care is provided to the affected individuals.
In the first phase, community health workers will undergo appropriate training to understand scabies, its transmission methods, and the appropriate prevention and treatment methods.
The campaign will cover 24 camps with no other medical access, targeting 24,625 individuals. In the second phase, medications and hygiene kits will be distributed across all camps, with a focus on raising awareness about the importance of personal hygiene to limit the spread of the disease. Through this campaign, the Al-Ameen Organization aims to improve health conditions and enhance health awareness in the community.
