Education in Times of Crisis: A Partnership for a Better Future

Education is not a luxury — it is a fundamental right for every child and young person, and the cornerstone upon which communities are built, whether in times of peace or hardship. When schools close and learning is disrupted, children do not simply lose an academic year; they lose a part of their future and their right to a life of dignity.
It is from this deep conviction that Al-Ameen Humanitarian Support Organization approaches its work in the education sector. The organization firmly believes that standing beside schools and students is, at its core, standing beside the entire community. The student sitting at a school desk today is the teacher, the doctor, and the engineer who will help rebuild tomorrow.
With this vision in mind, the organization works in close coordination with the Ministry of Education, and in direct collaboration with the Directorate of Education in Idlib, to ensure that support reaches schools and students in need, and to remove the obstacles that prevent the continuity of education under difficult circumstances.
Al-Ameen does not view its role as merely providing short-term aid. It strives to be a genuine partner in building a resilient educational system capable of endurance and continuity. Support for education cannot be separated from support for other vital sectors — health, shelter, and food — because human dignity is indivisible, and people can only thrive when their basic needs are met in full.
We are here, beside our people, working with quiet dedication — because what is worth building is worth every effort and every sacrifice.
