20 dialysis machines delivered to Al-Raqqa National Hospital with support from Al-Amin Association for Improving Kidney Patient Services
In response to the emergency health situation in Raqqa, and in coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Health and under the supervision of the Raqqa Health Director, Dr. Abdullah Al-Hamoud, the International Association for the Care of Victims of Wars and Disasters – Al-Amin delivered 20 dialysis machines to Raqqa National Hospital. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support the health sector and improve the quality of medical services provided to patients.
This intervention aims to ensure the continuity of treatment for kidney failure patients and guarantee regular, uninterrupted dialysis sessions, thereby alleviating the burden on patients and their families and raising the standard of healthcare services in Raqqa.
This step comes amidst the significant pressure on the health sector in Raqqa due to the increasing number of patients and the urgent need to support health facilities with vital medical equipment, particularly in chronic disease departments that require continuous care, given the difficult circumstances the region has endured in recent years.
The International Association for the Care of Victims of Wars and Disasters – Al-Amin affirmed that this support is part of its commitment to standing alongside national health institutions and responding to emergency health needs in cooperation and coordination with relevant government agencies. The delivery of dialysis machines is a first and important step in supporting Raqqa National Hospital, which will positively impact the quality of healthcare provided and enhance the hospital’s ability to serve a wide segment of kidney dialysis patients in the city and surrounding areas.
