Syrian Health Minister Visits Al-Biruni Hospital on the First Day of Saudi Arabia’s “Amal” Volunteer Program
Syria – Damascus: The Minister of Health of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Maher Al-Sharaa, visited Al-Biruni Hospital in Damascus today, February 5th. During his visit, he inspected the progress on the first day of the Saudi Arabian “Amal” Volunteer Program, which was launched from Saudi Arabia to provide specialized medical services to those most in need, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in coordination with the strategic partner, the international association “Al-Ameen.”
The minister was briefed on the efforts of the medical teams and volunteers and received an explanation about the services provided by these medical campaigns to patients. On this occasion, three specialized medical campaigns were launched today: the Cochlear Implant and Auditory Rehabilitation Campaign, the Orthopedic Surgery and Joint Replacement Campaign, and lastly, the Children’s Cancer and Precision Oncology Surgery Campaign.
The minister praised the efforts made in this humanitarian initiative, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in the healthcare field to support patients and provide necessary medical care. He also expressed his appreciation for the volunteer doctors and their role in providing high-quality medical services to those in need.
The Saudi “Amal” Volunteer Program, launched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Syria, continues its work in Damascus in collaboration with the strategic partner, the International Association for the Care of Victims of Wars and Disasters “Al-Ameen,” and will last until the end of 2025, providing specialized medical services to be a new source of hope for patients in need, and contribute to improving their quality of life.
