WHO supports Manbij National Hospital with medical kits to enhance health services in northern Syria
In a new step that reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the health sector in northern Syria, the World Health Organization (WHO) recently delivered a shipment of medical kits and consumables to Manbij National Hospital. This initiative is part of WHO’s broader efforts to strengthen the capacity of local health institutions to meet the growing needs of the population, especially amid the current challenges facing the healthcare system in the region.
The shipment included several integrated kits containing essential medicines and medical consumables used in the treatment of both emergency and chronic conditions. It also supports outpatient clinics, emergency services, and primary healthcare departments. These supplies aim to enable medical personnel to effectively respond to increasing health demands and to improve the quality of services provided to patients.
Manbij National Hospital is considered one of the largest and most important healthcare facilities in the region, serving a wide segment of the local population and internally displaced persons (IDPs). This makes it a key center for delivering essential health services, particularly in light of the difficult humanitarian situation the region is currently facing.
