The volunteer medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) arrived in Yemen to implement a project to treat children’s tumors.
The Saudi volunteer medical team, affiliated with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), arrived at Al-Rayyan International Airport in Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, yesterday, Saturday, May 24, 2025. This team is part of the voluntary medical project to treat pediatric tumors in the Republic of Yemen.
The team includes a select group of consultants and specialists in hematology, oncology, and radiotherapy. The medical program will be implemented at the Oncology Center of Ibn Sina Hospital Authority in Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, under the supervision of the Medical Camps Administration of the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population, in cooperation with the International Association for the Care of Victims of Wars and Disasters (Al-Ameen).
The project aims to provide quality medical services to children with tumors by conducting medical examinations, diagnosing cases, and providing the necessary treatment. It also aims to enhance the efficiency of local health personnel through continuous training and qualification.
This initiative is an extension of the humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) to support the health sector in the Republic of Yemen and alleviate the suffering of patients, especially the most vulnerable segments of society, as part of the centre’s diverse healthcare and medical volunteer programmes.
