The International Association for the Care of Victims of Wars and Disasters – Al-Ameen organizes a workshop to empower individuals with physical disabilities: A regional report and recommendations to improve services in conflict zones.
The International Wars and Disasters Victims Protection Association – Alameen held a workshop to empower and integrate people with disabilities into society, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Conjoined Twins, which is being held over two days, November 24-25, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the patronage of King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Centre .
The results of a regional survey report covering Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Turkey were presented to study the impact of disabilities and the gaps in need and community response to them in conflict and disaster areas.
The workshop hosted a group of interested scientific, medical and diplomatic elites around the world. To contribute to focused discussion sessions to study the presented results and come up with practical recommendations that contribute to improving services and facilitating access to them for people with disabilities in the countries covered by the report, with the aim of achieving a more inclusive environment that suits their needs.
