The International Association for protection of Wars and Disasters Victims (Al-Ameen) has launched the World Infection Prevention Week campaign in Al-Mahrah Governorate.
The campaign, titled “Infection Prevention is Everyone’s Responsibility,” is being carried out in coordination with the Public Health and Population Office in the governorate and Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital.
During the launch event, the Director-General of the Public Health and Population Office in Al Mahrah, Dr. Awad Mubarak, commended the role of the International Association in operating the kidney dialysis center, funded by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, Also he emphasized the importance of the infection prevention campaign in raising awareness in healthcare centers and places where infections can spread, encouraging everyone to positively engage with such awareness campaigns.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Nasheri, the Director of the International Association for Protection of Wars and Disasters Victims branch in Yemen, mentioned that this campaign will target healthcare workers in patient care centers, schools, and universities, as well as the local community in Al-Mahrah which had a need for continuous awareness campaigns of this kind, furthermore he noted that the campaign will continue until all its objectives are met, reaching the targeted groups through field teams affiliated with the association.
The launch event was attended by Ali Bukhait Al-Mutairi, the Deputy Director of King Salman Center, Salem Al-Saqqaf, the Relief Coordinator at the King Salman Center, Murad bin Aqeel, the Medical Coordinator at the King Salman Center, and Salem Al-Qumairi, the Deputy Director of Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital.
