The cochlear implant campaign continues as part of the Saudi “Amal” volunteer medical program.

In Damascus, the cochlear implant campaign continues as part of the “Amal” Saudi Medical Volunteer Program, generously funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and implemented by the International Association “Al-Ameen.” The campaign offers children who have lost their hearing a renewed opportunity to experience the sounds of the world around them.

The images capturing the first hearing tests after surgery reveal unforgettable moments: a child hearing their voice for the first time, turning in surprise, smiling, and perhaps shedding a tear of joy. These are moments that condense years of silence and open new doors to communication, growth, and learning.

These scenes are not merely medical outcomes—they are triumphs of humanity, a living embodiment of the association’s mission to empower children to reclaim their senses and live their childhood in full.
