Summary:
IT Specialist will be responsible for managing the organization’s information technology systems. You will oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensure network security, support software and hardware needs, and develop strategies to improve technology use within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update and implement periodic security policies at the network and system levels.
- Train employees on using new technologies and best security practices.
- Provide technical support to users and resolve technical issues.
- Manage and document technical assets and update them regularly.
- Perform regular data backups.
- Present periodic reports on the state of the technical infrastructure to management.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and plan future IT requirements.
Supervision:
- Overseeing the monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reviews of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure performance.
- Ensuring that all IT-related expenditures are supported by appropriate documentation and comply with internal policies and industry standards.
Major responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to IT team members and other departments.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
- Review and approve IT-related reports and system performance metrics.
- Develop and manage IT budgets.
- Oversee the management of IT assets and infrastructure.
- Manage software and hardware procurement, installation, and maintenance.
Ability to:
- Work effectively in a high-pressure environment and adapt swiftly to evolving technological landscapes.
- Conduct tasks in a professional and mature manner.
- Mentor and train staff; experience in supervising IT teams is desirable.
- Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced technical skills (including proficiency in operating systems, networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with IT management tools and software (e.g., ticketing systems, network monitoring tools).
Languages:
- Arabic and English are mandatory (oral and written)
