About IRVD – Alameen 

Foundation: Alameen organization is a non-governmental non-profit humanitarian organization established in 2012 as a volunteer community initiative by several doctors and academics supporting the late martyr Mohammad Ameen Harsouny, in response to the needs of those affected by the Syrian humanitarian crises and in commemoration of his memory.

Licensing and Operations 

Alameen is Officially licensed in many countries such as The United Kingdom, Sweden, The United States, and Turkey. These main offices are officially registered with a charity status facilitating advocacy activities, fundraising opportunities, and spreading our cause loudly everywhere we can.   

Alameen has been also involved in humanitarian responses as operational missions in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Sudan, Iraq, Ukraine, and Djibouti over the past years. In these mission offices, Alameen coordination teams operate in coordination and collaboration with local authorities, providing services through three main Humanitarian programs: Health and Nutrition, Protection and Education, and Emergency Response. 

Job Purpose  

To plan, coordinate, and oversee all assigned Health & Nutrition projects in Syria, ensuring their timely implementation within the allocated budget and in accordance with agreed quality standards. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

Project Planning & Coordination 

  • Prepare the project implementation plan in collaboration with the Health & Nutrition Coordinator, Program Director, and implementation team. 
  • Submit the project plan to the Health & Nutrition Coordinator, and Programs Director for review and approval. 
  • Assist in preparing project proposals based on technical and humanitarian needs assessments conducted by the field and MEAL teams. 
  • Follow up on the project agreement conditions to ensure compliance. 
  • Prepare weekly implementation work plans and coordinate with the field team to ensure timely delivery. 

Project Implementation & Supervision 

  • Supervise the daily implementation of projects and activities, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to objectives. 
  • Direct project activities, prevent operational errors, and ensure timely submission of project reports. 
  • Lead the field team and ensure smooth communication and activity follow-up. 
  • Follow up with other departments (finance, logistics, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth implementation of activities. 
  • Ensure that all assigned project indicators meet the agreed targets stated in the project agreement. 

Meetings & Documentation 

  • Participate in project kick-off, close-out, and review meetings as required. 
  • Document and follow up on all action points in a timely manner. 
  • Represent Al-Ameen and the programs department in cluster meetings, workshops, and coordination forums with partners, donors, and stakeholders. 
  • Manage communication, reporting, and relationship building with relevant clusters. 

Reporting & Data Management 

  • Prepare, develop, and review donor reports, including daily, weekly, quarterly, progress, and final reports. 
  • Monitor, update, and maintain Health & Nutrition project data. 
  • Review and monitor media production related to Health & Nutrition projects. 
  • Track and update all assigned project indicators regularly. 

Financial & Procurement Oversight 

  • Work with the finance department to monitor activities and expenses, ensuring alignment with the budget. 
  • Develop action plans to correct over- or underspending in a timely manner. 
  • Participate in the opening of offers and in procurement committees to evaluate bids, select vendors, and complete necessary procurement processes. 

Human Resources Management 

  • Assist in recruitment, screening, hiring, and performance management of project team members. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance for staff development. 

Other Duties 

  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the line manager as required. 

Qualification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Dentistry with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within NGOs or INGOs. 
  • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Strong people management and diplomatic skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, communities, and cultures, applying cultural awareness in all interactions. 
  • Excellent computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel; proficiency in data analysis tools is an advantage. 
  • Outstanding communication skills in both interpersonal and written forms. 
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
