Fifth Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Campaign in Damascus Saves Lives of Children with Congenital Heart Defects

As part of the Saudi Medical Volunteer Hope Program in Syria, funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre and implemented by Al-Ameen International Organization, the fifth campaign of cardiac catheterization has begun in Damascus. This campaign targets children with congenital heart diseases requiring urgent intervention to save their lives, such as valve stenosis, atrial or ventricular septal defects, and other heart conditions resulting from congenital anomalies that affect their growth and pose life-threatening risks.

Cardiac catheterization procedures are vital interventions that significantly save the lives of these children, helping to treat their conditions without the need for surgery, thus giving them a chance for normal growth and a hopeful life.

This national program aims to improve the quality of life for children and provide them with a healthy life through advanced rescue operations and medical care, empowering them for a brighter future.
