Al-Ameen Center for Speech and Language Rehabilitation in Afrin – Supporting Children Towards Better Communication
In the city of Afrin, in the Aleppo countryside, the Speech and Language Rehabilitation Center operated by the International Association “Al-Ameen” continues to provide specialized services for children facing communication challenges—particularly recent cochlear implant recipients—within a safe and supportive environment that helps them overcome expressive and linguistic difficulties.
The center focuses on rehabilitating children with speech disorders, delayed language development, or communication impairments, while also offering tailored services for children with hearing loss and those who have undergone cochlear implantation. The goal is to help them gradually develop verbal communication skills and comprehend spoken language.
Therapy sessions are delivered both individually and in groups, under the supervision of speech and language specialists. Each child receives a thorough assessment, a personalized treatment plan, and continuous monitoring of linguistic progress. Families are also supported through guidance and awareness on effective communication strategies.
This project reflects the association’s commitment to providing high-quality services for the most vulnerable groups, empowering children to express themselves, integrate into their surroundings, and overcome barriers to psychological and educational development.
