Advanced Life Support Training in Idlib Enhances Readiness of Medical Teams and Civil Defense Responders
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the medical readiness of healthcare personnel and field paramedics, the International Association for the Care of Victims of Wars and Disasters, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), organized an advanced training on life support in the Idlib Health Directorate.
The training targeted a number of paramedics working in the medical sector and civil defense. The training program focused on developing the clinical skills necessary to manage mass casualty incidents, with an emphasis on critical emergencies requiring rapid and advanced intervention.
The training covered multiple components, including the expansion of Basic Life Support (BLS) and progression to Advanced Life Support (ALS) procedures. It also focused on team dynamics and how to manage emergency response teams under pressure. The program included practical sessions using simulations of real medical scenarios, giving participants the opportunity to train in an environment that mirrors the daily challenges they face in the field.
This training is part of a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening emergency response capacity, in light of the growing need for well-trained personnel capable of acting swiftly and professionally.
This step is an extension of the ongoing collaboration between the International Association and the World Health Organization, aimed at improving the quality of health services through skill development and enhancing the field readiness of healthcare workers.
