Al-Ameen Organization Begins Comprehensive Eye Examinations at St John Eye Hospital in Gaza City, Ahead of Specialized Surgeries

Accurate Diagnosis: A First Step Toward Restoring Hope
The medical team involved in the project has begun the phase of comprehensive examinations and assessments for patients at St John Eye Hospital in Gaza City, in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. This phase is the first step before the specialized surgeries needed by the patients with the greatest need.
The work is being carried out by Al-Ameen Organization, the International Association for the Care of Victims of Wars and Disasters, together with its international partners. It aims to ease the suffering of local residents, improve their access to comprehensive medical care, and support the health infrastructure in the Strip.
Why Does the Journey Begin with Diagnosis?
No sound treatment decision can be made without an accurate diagnosis. A comprehensive eye examination identifies the nature of each patient’s problem and how serious it is, and shows whether the case calls for surgery or another form of treatment. Based on these results, the patients whose conditions require surgery are identified and prioritized according to their level of need, so that care reaches those who need it most first.
