Al-Ameen Humanitarian Support Organization Launches Kidney Dialysis Center in Palmyra
Al-Ameen Humanitarian Support Organization has launched a kidney dialysis center in the city of Palmyra (Tadmur), in Homs governorate, funded by the Turkish Healthcare Association, in a step aimed at addressing the growing health needs that had placed a significant burden on kidney failure patients in the city and its surrounding areas.
The launch of the center comes as a direct response to the need of Palmyra’s residents for an essential health service that had long been absent. Previously, kidney failure patients were forced to travel long distances to reach dialysis centers available outside the city, which added to their daily suffering and placed physical and financial strain on them, especially since this type of treatment requires regular, periodic sessions that cannot be postponed or interrupted.
Through this center, Al-Ameen Humanitarian Support Organization aims to provide safe and regular dialysis sessions for kidney failure patients in Palmyra and its surrounding areas, easing the burden of travel and offering them a treatment environment closer to home. This project represents a valuable addition to the region’s healthcare infrastructure and directly contributes to strengthening the continuity and quality of healthcare for a group of patients who require precise and ongoing medical follow-up.
