Under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Health of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, and the Governor of Idlib Governorate, Mr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman, and with the participation of the Director of Health for Idlib and the Director of the Maaret al-Numan District, a project to provide medications for kidney dialysis and thalassemia patients in Syria was launched. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health and the Al-Amin Humanitarian Organization, with support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. The project aims to enhance healthcare services and ensure the continuity of medical care for patients. As part of the project, the Ministry of Health received 10 trucks loaded with medications and medical supplies for thalassemia and kidney disease patients. The delivered quantities are sufficient to cover the needs of thalassemia patients for a full year across all Syrian governorates, contributing to improved quality of treatment and alleviating the burden on patients and their families.Thalassemia patients require close medical monitoring and specialized medications to mitigate complications resulting from iron overload due to frequent blood transfusions. Therefore, providing them with medications and medical supplies is crucial to ensuring the continuity of their treatment and improving their quality of life. This support comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capabilities of the health sector in Syria, and to ensure the provision of basic medical services to the most needy groups, which contributes to supporting the health system and improving the level of care provided to the community.
