Psychosocial Support for Adolescents in Damascus: A Volunteer Project Empowering Resilience with Support from KSRelief”
Within the Ather Initiative and with the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the International Association continues to implement its public volunteer project for psychological support for adolescents (males and females) in Damascus. This project aims to provide specialized psychological services that contribute to improving their mental state and enhancing their resilience in facing the challenges that this important age group faces. Investing in the mental health of adolescents is crucial to ensuring the building of a generation capable of adapting, succeeding, and contributing effectively to society. The program relies on a trained volunteer team that provides individual and group psychotherapy sessions that help meet the psychological needs of adolescents and provide a safe environment for expressing emotions and developing stress management skills. We believe that these sessions form an essential pillar for creating a positive and sustainable impact, which is reflected in the lives of adolescents and contributes to enhancing the mental health of society in general.
