5 million people with disabilities in Yemen – A harsh reality, but hope is being rebuilt!
The United Nations estimates that approximately 15% of Yemen’s population lives with disabilities, with numbers rising due to landmines and remnants of war, causing 50 to 100 new disability cases daily.
The International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims – Al-Ameen is dedicated to restoring hope and empowering individuals with disabilities to regain their normal lives through Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Centers, offering:
Modern prosthetic limb fittings
Cosmetic and orthopedic prosthetics
Patient training and rehabilitation for prosthetic use
Prosthetic maintenance for long-term support
Physical therapy to enhance mobility
Specialized medical and technical consultations
Capacity-building programs for medical staff
Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Centers are more than just medical facilities – they are lifelines that restore dignity and offer a second chance at life for thousands of Yemenis affected by war.
