Licensing and Operations
Alameen is Officially licensed in many countries such as The United Kingdom, Sweden, The United States, and Turkey. These main offices are officially registered with a charity status facilitating advocacy activities, fundraising opportunities, and spreading our cause loudly everywhere we can.
Alameen has been also involved in humanitarian responses as operational missions in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Sudan, Iraq, Ukraine, and Djibouti over the past years. In these mission offices, Alameen coordination teams operate in coordination and collaboration with local authorities, providing services through three main Humanitarian programs: Health and Nutrition, Protection and Education, and Emergency Response.
Main Purpose
In cooperation with partners, he/she will support activities related to pharmacy matters, in addition to enhancing the work of pharmacists in supported facilities and ensuring work with international protocols in order to provide high-quality services.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Follow up on dispensing medications according to prescriptions and ensure that the medication is registered in the correct manner and dosage.
- Participate in regular pharmacy orders for our supported facilities.
- Do a stock analysis for partnership warehouse.
- Reporting to MAM, monthly about clinical pharmacy
- Organise with partners to have AMCs on time
- Ensure that patients receive the necessary instructions for using medications and the potential side effects of medications and that the patient understands the method of treatment.
- Ensure the expiration date of medications periodically and the fastest use of medications with a close expiration date to reduce waste and the disposal of repeated types and the discontinuation of expired medications and ensuring storage according to the conditions approved in the protocols.
- Ensure that the updated protocols is followed in dispensing medications, especially controlled medications, while ensuring confidentiality in dispensing medications.
- To be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of medications and following the conditions of sanitation in storing medications and the cleanliness of the place where medications are stored.
- Follow up on medication dispensing records through clear reports to follow up on consumption and restore inventory and to avoid gaps in any required type and not to remove any type without permission or justification and to report.
- News to officials about any defect in any order in terms of quantity or in the event that any Defect in the quality of the medicine such as a change in color or smell or anything that is noticed to be abnormal
- Coordination to maintain the cleanliness of the available medical devices and the appropriate way to use them and provide the necessary instructions.
Field Visits:
- Conduct field visits to health facilities for technical support and service improvement.
Education
- Certificate in pharmacy
Experience
- Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) essential.
- Experience in NGOs is an asset.
Languages
- English: oral and written essential.
- Arabic: oral and written essential.
