MAIN PURPOSE
Supporting the clinical activities implemented by our partners and guaranteeing the quality of nursing care plus health promotion in the supported facilities, according to international protocols, values and universal hygiene standards in order to warrant the quality and continuity of the health care and the development of the plan of action.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Implement all protocols related to nursing care, IPC, and support the team of our partner to be sure they follow the proper standards, in order to warrant the quality of the care and service in her specialty.
• evaluate the needs for training for staff, in order to ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality.
• Support the (decentralized) pharmacy and medical equipment management (drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs and their destruction, drugs consumption, etc.) in her department, in order to satisfy the needs of material with efficiency and effectiveness.
• Health promotion activity: Monitoring the activities with good documentation, follow the daily and weekly targets for the team.
Review of the activities on weekly basis with MAM and adjust the following plan accordingly.
Quality monitoring: ensure the respect of education session quality in terms of technics, duration of session
• Ensuring that all staff using medical devices are qualified and trained. Ensuring that cleaning and minor maintenance tasks are performed according to the protocols. Reporting any malfunction to the line manager.
• Responsible for EPI and surveillance activities in the facilities.
• Carry-out and/or coordinate information and data collection (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.) tasks, and elaborate regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about the day-to-day activity in the project, output/ outcome and support decision-taking.
• Participate in needs assessments and surveys in the area of intervention when requested in coordination with other relevant departments.
• Participating in the monthly reports according to guidelines (i.e., SitReps, medical statistical reports, etc.).
• Be a back up to replace the MAM during his absence-to follow up with activities like staff health, meeting partners
Field Visits:
● Conduct weekly field visits to health facilities for technical support and service improvement.
EDUCATION
• Nursing or health degree with experience in Public Health, Health Management, or a related field.
• Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) essential.
EXPERIENCE
• Essential 2 years of previous relevant experience.
• Desirable experience in the Humanitarian sector.
