About Us:

ALMEEN for Humanitarian Support is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

ALAMEEN is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

ALAMEEN also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance.

SCOPE OF WORK

ALAMEEN is seeking a Data Officer who will oversee the coordination of timely, efficient, effective, and innovative information management approaches to support decision-making at the department and management levels.

He/she will be fully dedicated to leading the establishment and oversight of information management system and manage the current data and information management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data collection tools and processes, including surveys, questionnaires, and data entry forms.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data collected and manage data quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct regular data analysis and reporting to support programmatic decision-making.
  • Work closely with program teams to understand their data needs and provide technical support in data management and analysis.
  • Provide training and capacity-building support to program staff on data collection, management, and analysis.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of M&E plans and strategies.
  • Ensuring proper archiving and documentation of all project-related data and information.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security protocols.
  • Any other duty as requested by the direct manager.

Qualifications:

  • The Data Officer will work closely with program teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection, management, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data management, monitoring, and evaluation in a humanitarian or development organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as statistics, data science, or social sciences.
  • Strong data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, SPSS, or Stata.
  • Experience in developing data collection tools and managing data quality assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. Turkish is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Languages:

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
