About Us:

INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance.

Job Description

IRVD is seeking to recruit a field MEAL officer to monitor and evaluate the workflow according to the following responsibilities and tasks:

Implementation of Program

Responsibilities:

1- Prepare a fıeld weekly work plan for collecting data on monitoring and evaluation activities in line with the implemented program activities and the goals and objectives of the project.

2- Monitor project activities through regular field visits to the work site and accurately convey the quality of implementation as it is, without any biases, to ensure compliance with project goals and donor requirements.

3- Collect data from various sources to evaluate project performance according to the planned schedule and identify areas for improvement.

4- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of project data and maintain data quality control procedures.

5- Monitor the implementation of accountability in executed projects and facilities and ensure the presence of its tools.

6- Conduct awareness sessions with stakeholders during the project implementation period to ensure they are fully aware of how to provide feedback.

7- Monitor the received feedback by regularly checking complaint channels.

8- Attend meetings and capacity-building training related to the monitoring and evaluation department, provided by the responsible person in the head office or external entities.

9- Provide lessons learned during the project implementation period and share them with the direct supervisor.

10- Document the implemented activities monthly and share them with the direct supervisor.

11- Prepare daily and monthly field reports that illustrate the conducted monitoring and evaluation activities and provide recommendations for improving the project’s progress.

12- Fulfill all requests from the direct supervisor within their scope of expertise.

Ability to:

  • Ability to work under stress and adapt quickly to changing environments.
  • Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner.

Qualifications

  • Excellent proficiency in computer software (MS Office)
  • Minimum 2 years’ working experience.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written.
  • Good understanding of the main principles of international NGOs including accountability, impartiality, independence, cooperation, and intercultural understanding
  • High flexibility and ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • High experience regarding data collection applications.

Languages:

  • Arabic language (excellent)
  • English (good)

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within IRVD

and amongst beneficiaries served by IRVD .
