About Us:
ALAMEEN for Humanitarian Support is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.
ALAMEEN is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.
Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter & Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.
ALAMEEN also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance
Summary:
Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the organization. You will oversee the financial operations, prepare financial reports, develop budgets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate the financial management functions supporting all activities for the organization.
- Support the preparation of donor financial reports by Alameen regulations.
- Inspect payroll versus budgets, ensuring that salaries are correctly allocated to projects consistent with Al ameen’s criteria.
- Oversight of all financial aspects, including implementing economic systems, budget preparation, expense tracking, financial reporting, and accounting.
- Ensure that the project’s financial accounting environment is compatible with the AL ameen’s policies, procedures, regulations,
and legal requirements.
- Preparing and submitting monthly financial reports according to the specified due dates.
- Define donor reporting requirements and develop standardized reporting forms to help standardize grant budgets and expenditures
- Preparing financial reports for various donors according to contractual obligations.
- Review all accounting transactions to ensure proper coding and entry of all transactions into accounting software.
- Facilitating any external or internal audit.
- Provide solutions to budget challenges and strategically utilize financial expertise to ensure maximum utilization of available funds.
- Assessment of training and development needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, QuickBooks or other accounting software)
Experience
- Work experience in financial management, accounting and budgeting;
- Experience in preparing clear and concise financial and management reports
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience in budgeting and financial planning.
- Experience in managing investments and financial assets.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
Languages:
- Arabic and English are mandatory (oral and written)
