Job Description

A Video Editor is responsible for piecing together Al-Ameen’s vision using materials such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, and graphics to produce a final film or video product.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assemble, transfer, and export uncut footage to create a finished, cohesive final project.
  2. Select and combine footage to produce a film in line with the film’s storyboard, goal, and vision.
  3. Adjust and correct films’ colors to improve the final product’s quality.
  4. Select, apply, and edit music, sound effect, subtitles, and graphics to support the final product’s goal.
  5. Rearrange scenes and ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
  6. Continuously explore and implement new technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
  7. Follow the institution’s media and communication policies and guidelines.
  8. Ensure all media products are appropriately stored, filed, and archived.
  9. Respect and apply all the PSEA principles and show high commitment to report any PSEA action.
  10. Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones.
  11. Other future responsibilities/accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
  12. Other related tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Implementation of Program

Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, Cinema 4D, DaVinci Resolve, Lightworks.

Expected profile

Education & Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in media or any other Relevant experience would be considered.
  2. 2 years’ experience in art and/or design fields

Professional experience

  1. 4 years’ experience in art and/or design fields
  2. Good knowledge of computer tools, web and layout design an asset.

Languages

  1. Fluent in Arabic.
  2. Intermediate level in the English.
