Rebuilding Hope in Niaz’s Steps: A Taiz Child Overcomes Disability Through Rehabilitation Care

In one of the neighborhoods of Taiz, Nayaz Khaled Abdul Aziz was born—a 11-year-old child suffering from complete paralysis in his right leg, which caused him an unnatural gait and filled his heart with sadness and embarrassment. His sighs at night were heard when his friends laughed at his condition, while he faced his struggle silently.

However, hope arrived when they learned about the Prosthetics and Rehabilitations Center in Taiz, supported by KSRelief (King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center) and implemented by the IRVD (International Organization for Victims of War and Disasters “Al-Ameen”). It was a new beginning for Nayaz. He was received by a professional medical team, and a comprehensive rehabilitation program was initiated. Over three months, his steps gradually became steadier, and his smile slowly returned.

Today, Nayaz, with a confident look, says: *”I can now walk like my friends, and I want to become a doctor to help children just like the doctors helped me.”* His mother, filled with pride, thanks KSRelief and everyone who contributed to restoring hope to her son’s life.

This story confirms that when humanity unites, it brings life back to hope, writing successful stories built on compassion and giving.
