From the fields of Hajjah to the embrace of hope in Marib: The story of Saddam and an unbreakable will
In the heart of Yemen, where war has left deep wounds, stories of hope sprout from the womb of suffering. Saddam Qassem Al-Ajri, a young Yemeni man from the Hajjah Governorate, dreamed of a prosperous future in his land, but a landmine changed the course of his life and cost him his right leg.
Displacement to Marib was not the end of the story, but the beginning of a new chapter, where Saddam found support and care at the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Marib, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the efforts of Al-Ameen International Humanitarian Organization.
Here, Saddam not only obtained an advanced prosthetic limb, but also found a dedicated medical and administrative team that provided him with psychological and moral support, helped him overcome trauma, and restore his self-confidence. Thanks to this support, Saddam returned to the labor market and became a secretary in a local company, proving to the world that disability cannot stop the dream and that will makes miracles.
Saddam’s story is a testament to Al-Ameen International Humanitarian Organization’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to those affected by wars, enabling them to regain their lives and dignity, and contribute effectively to their communities.
