Al Himma school for mobility disabled

“Al Himma” school for mobility disabled .. The lives of children with mobility disabilities constitute a fundamental concern and an increasing concern of “Al-ameen Organization”, as the need to support their special needs increases, especially in light of the difficult living conditions facing them, the spread of diseases and epidemics, and facing the second wave of the emerging corona virus pandemic.

Accordingly, a team from the center for prosthetics and rehabilitation in “Saioun” in the Hadramawt governorate, eastern Yemen, this morning visited “Al Himma” school for mobility disabled in Hadramout valley, to examine cases that need physical therapy and orthodontic support.

The visit also aimed at assessing the needs of children with mobility disabilities and exploring the possibility of supporting them and providing their requirements, in order to reintegrate these children into society to be individuals who contribute to building their future and the future of their families. The team of the center visits many disabled children every day, whose number exceeds 50% of the center’s visitors and beneficiaries.

It is worth noting that the center for prosthetics and rehabilitation in Saioun provides free services to children with mobility impairments and to all other beneficiaries, with the support and funding of “KSRelief” and the implementation of “Al-ameen”.

During the month of February, the Center provided nearly 1576 services, distributed to 238 beneficiaries, and the percentage of displaced persons among those beneficiaries was about 19%, while the percentage of residents among the beneficiaries was 81% of the total who received these services.

Al-Ameen Organization has signed an agreement with the Free Aleppo University

Economic crises, continuous displacement in Syria, aside from the destroyed killing machine all 10 years, caused to suspension of the training phase for most of the new medical faculty graduated and ungraduated students in the training period.

As one of Al-Ameen for Humanitarian Support goals, reinforcing the education sector and seeking to train and empower the youth.

Al-Ameen Organization has signed an agreement with the Free Aleppo University, aiming to train the fifth and sixth years students in Medical faculty and students who have not completed the training phases “Stages”, whereas Al-Amin will provide the training opportunity for this segment of students for three months in its medical facilities and centers, additionally, provide them opportunities to have jobs in Al-Ameen’s centers or other medical centers.

Accounting Training – Sudan

According to the importance of one of the training assignments, within free the  Youth Support Initiative in Sudan, an Support by Al-Ameen for Humanitarian Support , accounting and financial training was conducted at a high level. Focusing on the importance of financial operations recording related to the business, and economic events recording, knowing the appropriate methods to analyze the financial operations, and classifying them in the business plan.

The trainees were able to make a comprehensive budget for medium-sized unrealistic companies, then a distinction was made between the types of financial reports and how to use them.

They used international accounting standards according to IRFS lists.

Abdulrahman’s hope of walking

After months of suffering, Abdulrahman, 28 years old, visited the artificial limbs centre in Taiz, to help him overcome the injury he had after an explosion. Our medical staff responded promptly as they began with taking the right measurements to design and place the limb, and Abdulrahman managed to walk again!

He says: ‘ I’m happy to be able to walk again, now my life becomes easier with this artificial limb and I can continue my life normally ’.

The artificial limbs center, which is supported by KSRelief, provides various services to the patients and helps them to regain hope in their lives.

As winter closes in, our medical team in Ariha centre is receiving increased cases of flu and inflamed throats, also, the number of visitors with joint pains also increases as usual during this time of the year. Among its free-of-charge services, the team also provides Covid-19 testing service, and attempts to cover all the medical needs of the visitors through its various departments, clinics and the laboratory. In addition to providing medicine to those in need, as the total number of services provided has reached 2232 which benefited 1030 people of different age segments.  The team is also looking forward to expand its services to a include a wider range of beneficiaries and to ensure all the medical needs of the local people are being met and fulfilled.

Our team in Sharran medical centre continues to provide the required medical care and services to the patients and beneficiaries, through the various departments and clinics, as the total number of services reached 6908 services provided to 3340. Moreover, the mobile clinic team is also working relentlessly to reach the beneficiaries who can’t visit the centre in person, as they’ve provided 3006 service to 1474 patients in and around #Sharran. Main services were focused on pregnancy monitoring, in addition to joint pain among other diseases and cases.

Child Mohamed required intensive physical rehabilitation sessions

The medical team worked at the Taiz Center for Industrial Prosthetics on a strong follow-up to the situation of the child ′′ Mohamed ′′ over two full months, to help him rise again, as his case required intensive physical rehabilitation sessions at a rate of 3 sessions a day. It took a joint effort from the medical team and the family of the child to support him and encourage him to reach the desired result, and once it’s been two weeks until Mohamed’s situation started to gradually improve to try to get himself up and walk. This is what came true after a long time.

The medical staff is doing their utmost to provide assistance to the auditors, aims to reach the largest possible portion of them, with a view to helping them return to their normal life by providing various medical services, whether it be through installation of prosthetic limbs, physical therapy, etc. It is one of the many services at Taiz center

Shuiya suffers from acute kidney failure

After fleeing her home town, “Shuiya” finally settled in Al-Ghaydah city, as she arrived, she started feeling pain in her kidneys, few days later she was diagnosed with severe kidney failure and she was told that she needs a kidney plant, but this wasn’t possible due to her financial hardships. Afterwards, she started attending dialysis sessions in Al-Ghaydah centre for two times a week, now she’s looking forward to continue her life.  “Shuiya” is one of 35 patients receiving continuous treatment at the centre which provides it’s services to IDPs who form 83% of the total beneficiaries. In November, the centre provided 351 dialysis sessions along with providing 778 medicines and performing 450 tests.

A child, Aghyad Al-Hourani, suffers from chest pain

For several months, Aghyad had suffered from dry coughing and chest pain, he visited our medical centre in the town of Ersal as the doctor diagnosed the case as chronic inflammation, and described the required medication, moreover, she requested that Aghyad should follow a healthy diet.
